TO SHED LIGHT ON THE RECENT REMARKS OF THE SUPREME PONTIFF, POPE FRANCIS

Disclaimer: I do not intend to offend, harm or discriminate the LGBTQ+ Community. I always respect them.

Yet allow me to give some clarification on this matter, since I feel the rough and disturbing clamor of the conservative Catholics, especially those who believe on MORAL ABSOLUTISM, mastered by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. This article is with the guidance of our dear Bishop, Julito B. Cortes of the Diocese of Dumaguete. He said,

"Brod, the statement of Pope was mistranslated, misconstrued, so misunderstood. Pls see the clarification below. Thanks."

This was taken from the post of Facundo Prudenti Pasini in the FB Group, Purely Papist Saintposting (Catholic-only). This is the verbatim:

Guess what: IT'S IN SPANISH and the subtitles are way off.

He (the Pope) says:

"The homosexual person has the right to be in the family. They are children of God, they have the right to the family and nobody can be kicked out from the family neither make their lives miserable because of that. What must be done is a LAW OF CIVIL COEXISTENCE. They have a right to be legally covered."

But the subtitles wrongfully say "What we have to create is a CIVIL UNION LAW"

Original Spanish: "La persona homosexual tiene derecho a estar en la familia. Son hijos de Dios, tienen derecho a una familia y no se puede echar de la familia a nadie ni hacerle la vida imposible por eso, Lo que tenemos que hacer es una ley de convivencia civil. Tienen derecho e estar cubiertos legalmente."

This is where I make a stand, the Pope's remarks was indeed misconstrued and was taken out of context because of the wrong translation of the language. We are all aware of this possible glitches if the subtitle is automated, and possibly if its done intentionally by the producer who is an advocate of such cause, without the knowledge of the Pope himself. This is also an awakening for all of the faithful to fight against FAKE NEWS; we have been misled, deceived and blinded already for many times, this must have crossed our borderline already. Enough for us to be more vigilant, and always to think critically if events like this will again occur. Let us always check, double or triple check whatever news or articles we read in the Social Media, cross referenced it with other reliable websites to check its veracity. Nevertheless, I hope no one will miscalculate my boldness, I never intend spoil the uplifted spirits of the LGBTQ+ Community. In fact, with the LAW OF CIVIL COEXISTENCE, I, wholeheartedly agree with the HOLY FATHER.

For those who continuously mock the Holy Father, accusing him of many heresies, and throwing him all the improper words they can think of, LET ME REMIND YOU THIS!

He is only HUMAN, subject to mistakes and any shortcomings except on faith and morals. He is no perfect, he is like us, he is also doing some basic acts that we do like eating, laughing, bathing, etc. Allow me to highlight some titles such as Doctors, Engineers, Teachers, Accountants or whatever. If any of these title belongs to you, how would you play or act on it? Let's say you are an Engineer, that means you're an expert when it comes to the computations or calculations of the strength of materials used for building construction. It also denotes, you can barely commit bigger margin of error because if you do, your project will collapse and may endanger many lives. However, your expertise to that aspect does not excuse you to the tendency of commiting mistakes about the matters outside it. Similarly, the expertise of the Supreme Pontiff lies greatly on faith and morals for having studied for decades on philosophy, theology, masteral and doctorate with the fusion of his real life experiences with the missions and ministries he's been with.

But for the heresies he's been accuse with, what is the criteria you're using? What documents? And who, in line with the curia or the college of cardinals, is saying such heresy as valid? I have viewed a video where they solely based their accusation, I guess, it was a bishop from the other catholic sect from the East line. They cut the words of Francis line by line and was commented and declared by the said Bishop as heretic. As per study of hermeneutics, it is a style where a reader is trying to analyze the parts inorder to understand the whole context but what they did is totally different, it was fully skeptical and only trying to find fault on the words of the Pope.

Lastly, I know that you know the politics within the Church, but if it concerns with the style of the leadership of the Supreme Pontiff, then the problem is not with the Pope but in your behavior and belief clouded with misgivings and conspiracies. We should accept and embrace that there is no such kind of perfect leadership that will suit to the likings of the world. We are the lay faithful and we owe the Pope OUR OBEDIENCE!
